Welcome, Akinori Oishi!
Japanese artists painted the windows in our school
The school for design Bogdan Suput had the great honor to welcome the Japanese artist Akinori Oishi. The reason for his visit was to make a contact with the students from our school and show them his way of creating art.
Akinori is a forty-eight years old artist from the second biggest city in Japan, Osaka. Since he was a child he has been interested in art, especially in drawing comics. He studied Typography and Computer Design, which helped him create his style and pattern of drawing. His miniature stylized characters don’t have individual meaning, but combined make a multilayered structural whole. Using the very same way of making art he painted the windows in the hallways of our school.
While he was making his new piece of art, he enjoyed his stay at our school. He was sad because the Easter holiday was about to start soon and he wouldn’t be able to stay longer.
